Replace Grains with this…

Once again, it is Thursday and I am checking in with you seeing if you are sticking to the grain free challenge. If you are struggling, remember there are other starchy carbs you can consume other then nasty processed grains that are slammed with nutrients and minerals your body needs. These are my suggestions, sweet potatoes (don’t add brown sugar), peas (my favorite), lentils, beets (not my favorite), and squash.  These starchy carbohydrates pack nutrient dense and are much better for you when compared to processed grains. I dare you to use them as a side dish ;-). In fact try this...

One Tip To Help You Lose Weight.

Are you aware of the number of “Treats” you eat? I must admit…I am writing about treats because they are one of my achilles heels ;-). So, if you are stuck at a weight and “doing” everything right. I suggest you start to tally or track of all those treats that, “Don’t count.” This is what I mean when I use the term, “Treats.” Any foods that are low in nutrients and calorie dense. Things like, candy, refined breads, chips, desserts, ice cream, alcoholic beverages, etc). Basically, almost anything you chiefly consume for taste and pleasure, not for its nutrients. If losing weight...

3 Reasons You NEED Lean Protein at EACH MEAL!

Right now, as I write this email I am watching Nick crush a southwestern egg white bowl (He is probably the most important part of Just 4 You Meals lol), he also added in extra chicken breast it looks and smells delicious and now I am hungry. Nick is a smart guy, by adding in extra protein he is making sure he stays fit and trim (Yes, that picture is of a tired Nick). Here are 3 Reasons You NEED Lean Protein at Each Meal. Protein has the highest thermic effect. Protein helps suppress your appetite and helps you feel full. ...

Weight Loss Strategy for BIG Dinner Events

Ever had to much of a good thing? I am sure you have. As some of you know I grew in Brazil. In Brazil they have restaurants that are called Churrascarias. At a Churrascaria they serve primarily meat, in the States they are often called a Brazilian Steakhouse. If you enjoy eating lots of different kinds of meat, mainly beef, this is for you! Obviously, I LOVE Churrascarias, the only problem is when ever I go to a Churrascaria I always over do it. I get nostalgic and plus as a former 308 lbs offensive linemen (currently down to 212), I...

Celebrating a few of my AWESOME client RESULTS!

I hope you haven’t forgotten about this weeks challenge. As a reminder this week, I wanted you to set aside about 5 minutes and write a card, note, or a letter to someone with the purpose of encouraging them and making them feel special. I chose my awesome wife Beth if you remember. But I am really lucky, I have lots of clients who deserve to be reminded how awesome they are! They are just killing it in the studio and with their nutritional strategies and I generally don’t like to brag about how hard they work but they desire...

Two Strategies to EAT Carbs ;-)

Well yesterday was interesting and exciting! My son Axel, ran into a corner of a wall and as a result got 4 stitches :-(. He is doing great, especially after we promised to get him ice cream afterwards. Never underestimate the power of ice cream lol. When Beth took him to the emergency care center the doctor and nurse had a small dilemma. There were two strategies they could use to close the wound. The first strategy was glue. The pro with glue was it was less painful and less scary. The con was Axel would likely have a scar....

Make some one feel special :-)

I hope and pray you are not dreading the upcoming work week. As you probably know, my wife has joined the workforce and she is loving it. To show her I love her and support her I….I bought her a card and some chocolate :-). I actually even wrote a note with some words of thankfulness and encouragement. Plus, the card I picked out came with a song when you opened it! It was epic and Beth loved it ;-)! That is the story that inspired this weeks challenge. This week, I want you to set aside about 5 minutes and write...
