Up For A Fruit Challenge?

So, I have been on a fruit binge. I blame my mom and the summer ;-).

The good news though…is it inspired this weeks challenge!

This week I want dudes to aim for 2 cups of fruit daily, ladies I would like you to aim for 1.5 cups of fruit. Also, be adventurous, the more exotic and colorful the better ;-).

Fruit is basically nature’s candy….sweet and refreshing. On a side note, NO FRUIT JUICE, it does not count! Liquid calories are less than ideal.

Eating fruit is great, it allows you to get antioxidants, fiber, and other super nutrients that help you look and feel awesome!

Where is a quick hit list for the superness of fruit:

  • Helps lower the risk of type 2 diabetes.
  • Helps lower the risk of stroke and heart disease.
  • Helps reduce the risk of bone loss as you age.
  • Helps form red blood cells.
  • Plus, we could all eat more fiber 😉

On a personal note, I love cut up watermelon and cantaloupe. I put them in a tupperware and place it in the frig. I find the melon soaks up the extra juices and becomes sweeter ;-).
