Are you crazy busy today and didn’t have time to pack a healthy meal…now what!?

I will give you four tips, but first a story, ever since the hurricanes stormed through, my son Axel (5 years old), has become obsessed with trees falling down. Every day he asks to watch, “trees falling down” on youtube. He has consistently watched the same 5 videos for weeks now, he is officially addicted, he is super consistent and never misses a day lol and can even quote what is said and what is going to happen. Which might not be so good…for example, my wife Beth whispered for me to come into the hallway and watch Axel play. Axel was getting a broom stand and watching it fall like a tree saying, “Holy Sh@t! There is goes.”…yep, parent of the year award revoked lol.

Now back to you. Are you consistently packing a healthy meal when you are out and about? If not, you really should be, it makes getting a better booty and a tighter tummy so much easier and less stressful.

Now, sometimes it just can’t be avoided and work or life pulls you away from you routine, but you know you need to be consistent. Just like Axel and his obsession with trees falling down.

In those rare cases try to follow the four tips below to help you overcome this obstacle.

One, try to find whole food. What I mean is try and find real food not processed food. Not always possible, but if able do it. Grocery stores with lunch meat and produce are a great place to find it ;-).

Two, try to find whole food that is mainly protein and not full of carbohydrates. A protein shake will do in a pinch but it shouldn’t be a habit, same is true regarding protein bars. Plus, as a general rule, protein bars are not that great for you, most are just bad tasting candy bars lol.

Three, if you must eat at a fast food restaurant order the grilled chicken salad and use the salad dressing sparingly.

Four, if you are in a rush and at a gas station or convenience store buy some beef jerky, canned tuna, and now most places will even have some good greek yogurt options.

All that being said, these are for times when you couldn’t plan and got in a tight spot. In a perfect world, you have planned ahead, because the one thing most skinny and lean people, who stay skinny and lean have in common is that they are consistent.
