How I get things DONE and YOU can too!

This is probably going to be my favorite challenge. Do you ever get overwhelm with the massive amount things you have to get done? If so, this week’s challenge is for YOU!

I would like to personally invite you to participate in the checklist challenge.

This challenge is about getting stuff organized and DONE! Not to brag, but I am pretty good at this and I am going to share some of my tips with you.

The basics:

-First, brainstorm what your major goals are this week and or this month.

-Second, I want you to write a to-do list that is focused on things you need to get done that will make the MOST difference and get you closer to the goals you just listed.

-Third, your goal this week is to check off at least FIVE things from that list.

Something that I find helpful is to break large goals up into mini ones. This helps the tasks seem more manable and it helps me feel like I am gaining momentum as a check them off.  Personally, I put these tasks right into my Google calendar so there is a constant reminder

Now, let’s say your goal is to lose weight, your mini task could be to:

-Workout X number of times this week.

-Pack your gym bag.

-Pack your meals ahead of time.

After you have those listed it’s time to get specific and put a time on those mini tasks.

-Workout 3 times this week at 6:00am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday (for example)

-Pack your gym bag at 8:00pm

-Pack your meals for the next day at 7:30pm

Also, it is tempting to list VERY thing you should do. AVOID THIS TEMPTATION! Your list should only have the items that you actually have time to accomplish. Please, do not set yourself up for failure this week by listing too much! This will only make you frustrated!

In short, breaking things down and creating simple mini tasks that’ll make your life easier and help you gain momentum as you conquer your goals.

Shoot, what you will discover is simply writing down your list will help you feel less overwhelmed and finishing the mini tasks will make you feel empowered and motivated!
