Reading Is Like Lifting Weights For Your Brain ;-)!
This week’s challenge is near and dear to my heart. But sadly, it wasn’t until I went to graduate school that I truly appreciated it…READING ;-)!
That is correct, your challenge this week is to read. I am not even going to give a time limit or a word count. I just want you to pick out a new book and read it this week. I am reading Stephen King’s, The Outsider. It is epic and if you are on the fence on what to get, I totally recommend it. I can barely put it down to write this email.
It doesn’t have to be fiction, it can be nonfiction, shoot it can even be work or school related. I just ask that you choose a book that tickles your fancy and read it ;-).
I am assuming some of you will have no problem with this challenge. Others of you might struggle, here is what I have enjoyed:
–The Outsider, Stephen King
–The Two Mountains Between Us, (REALLY GOOD, they made it into a movie)!
–Never Let Go, Dan John (a training book)
–Limitless Life, Derwin Gray
Now…Don’t poo-poo this challenge! Reading is great on so many different levels! Reading can help you relax, increases your smarts, and has been shown to improve the quality of your sleep.
