It’s November, the month of Thanksgiving
The month of Thanksgiving has finally arrived.
There isn’t much better way to show that you are thankful then serving others.
The challenge this week is to donate either your time or talent or your treasure to the community by giving back to those in need.
A few ideas that will help you out.
- You can serve food at a homeless shelter.
- You can sign up to volunteer to help build a Habitat for Humanity building or house.
- You could just go out and clean the side of a busy road near where you live.
- You can donate some time or money to a local animal shelter.
- You can visit your local church and donate some time and or money.
- Visit a senior home and just talk with some people.
- Donate clothes or furniture to the Salvation Army or Goodwill.
The hidden bonus to this challenge is the chances are you’re going to make a lot of good friends while you give back.
You don’t need to join a group or an organization to be able to give back. You can impact lives just by being aware and using your talents, time, and treasure to serve those already around you.
Go go be awesome!
