Jarett called me on my crap :-)

Yes, you read that right Jarett, the other trainer at just you Fitness Winston-Salem called me out on my crap :-).  

I was complaining that I wasn’t dropping weight as fast as I would like. And I wanted to make it happen a little bit faster, but I didn’t want to have to do two things required to make that happen :-).

Does that sound familiar?

I’m sure it does. What Jarett said was, “There’s two key main philosophies. The first is, the quantity of food you eat equals your scale weight. The second is, the quality of food you eat equals your body composition.”  I wonder where I heard that from? Smart Donkey!

It was funny, I’ll give him that. Using my own words against me. But it’s true. If I want to lose weight I need to eat less food, and if I want to improve my body composition I need to better quality of food and if I want to be toned I need to follow a customized workout plan.

My problem, is the same problem that a lot of people have.

They know what to do, maybe they’ve been coached on what to do, it’s just implementing and putting that knowledge into practice is where they get stuck…they lack accountability.

A lot of times that requires some additional accountability, someone checking in on you to make sure that you’re doing what you need to do. Because honestly, let’s say you screwed up 50% of the time but the other 50% of the time you were making way better choices regarding what you’re eating and how much you’re eating. Imagine the difference that 50% would make.  It doesn’t seem like much, over the course of a year, you would lose probably 20 to 30 pounds depending on where you’re at.

In short, log your food, eat less food than you need, improve the quality of your food and follow an exercises plan specifically designed for you, based off of your needs and goals. I hire a professional to design my exercise program, and now I have Jarett to keep me accountable with my macros and diet. No excuses it’s action time.
