Banning Electronics Past 8 PM…who can do it?

No ELECTRONICS PAST 8 PM

This weeks challenge is a dosy, one a dug up from the pits of hell. I can already hear you screaming in terror and torment.

Why would I want you to experience this torment? In short, the lights on most devices – computer, TV, phone, etc – messes with your body’s cortisol production making it difficult to sleep.

Cortisol is know as the “stress” hormone and its purpose is to get us jacked and ready to run or fight….NOT to go to sleep.

This in turn negatively affects your melatonin a hormone that is supposed to help you wind down and go to sleep.

I get it, most us are addicted to our electronics. Wouldn’t you agree? If you just agreed, congratulations, admitting you have a problem is the first step : ). If you didn’t, you are in denial : ). Either way tt is time to turn of the electronics once 8 PM hits. Set an alarm so you don’t “forget.”

This will be a great thing, trust me : ). Sleep is super important and impacts every aspect of your life, even losing weight, your mood, and your productivity at work. Come on, you know I am right! Most of us need at least 6 hours and 8 hours wouldn’t kill us either.

If you don’t believe, click the link below and read what scientists have to say about blue light and sleep.

How is in? Let me know!

Go be awesome!

KELLEN LAKE – Sorry can’t text you, it’s past 8 PM : )

PS – Time to talk…face to face : )
