YOU can make someone else’s weight loss and fitness journey smoother and better.

My brain synapses are firing like crazy today…I apologize in advance ;-).

Today we are going to be talking about endurance and how your endurance can motivate and inspire others.

In short, YOU can make someone’s else weight loss and fitness journey smoother and better. THAT IS POWERFUL!

As is becoming the norm currently, I got inspired from Andrew Hooper’s message at Mercy Hill Church on Thursday. One of Andrew’s key ideas was, “Endurance in us, will produce endurance in others.”

Obviously, Andrew was speaking in terms of living out and being a follower of Jesus. But his statement can apply in the fitness world as well. The way we handle adversity and obstacles on our fitness and weight loss journey can help others overcome and endure those same issues or “Doors.”

Let me explain, In the Christian ministry world, people will often say, “God closed that door” or “God opened that door.” Meaning God gave us clarity on issue X or Y allowed X or Y to happen or stopped X or Y from happening. However, as Andrew pointed out, all to often Christian ministries judge issues or “Doors” by how easy or comfortable they are, not on how effective they are. Often times “Doors” for effective ministry aren’t flashy or comfortable. Thus, they get no attention.

In the fitness world this is definitely the case! The effective “Doors” you must go through are not flashy, nor are they comfortable (Logging your food, working out, being held accountable). However, the good news is that others have gone through those same “doors” before you. You are not alone, you are not the first. I personally used to weigh 308 lbs, I have been there too! If I can do it, so can you! In the last 3 year I have helped over 100 people lose weight and feel better. I helped them enter into those uncomfortable doors…and…so…can…YOU! Shoot you might be already!

YOU can and will inspire others on your fitness journey! Remember, “Endurance in us, will produce endurance in others.” If others see you fighting and enduring, they will want to join you and they will go enter and go through that door because of your example! How awesome is that!!!

So next time you are tempted to do something you know goes against your fitness goals, remember, your endurance is a witness to others. The way you handle difficulties and setbacks  can open the “doors” for others! Now lead from the front and as always…

Go be awesome!

Kellen Lake – So blessed to have the examples of others to help motivate and spur me on!

PS – Make this weekend awesome and be an awesome source of inspiration for all those you interact with ;-)!
