Walt Disney, “All our dreams can come true if have we the courage to pursue them.”

This weekend I was asked to write a letter to one of my old students back when I was a PE teacher. She is joining a sorority and part of the ceremony involves her getting letters from past teachers, mentors, etc…

I figured if it was good enough for this sweet young lady it would be good enough for you as well ;-).

First a quote from Walt Disney, “All our dreams can come true if have we the courage to pursue them.”

I’m not a huge fan of the idea of believing it and achieving it. But I am a fan of quotes that illustrate you can accomplish your dreams if you take action. And that’s what Walt Disney says right here. He says that if you have the courage to take action, to pursue your dreams, they will come true. It’s important to note he never gives a time frame on how long it will take nor how difficult that path may be. Generally, speaking the bigger the dream, the longer it takes and the more courage you will have to muster.

This reminds me of when I lived in Brazil. My parents were missionaries there and I lived in Brazil from the ages of 10 to 17. About at the age of 15, I had a dream of going to the States and playing football so that I could get an athletic scholarship.

Crazy right? That dream was outrageous!

Regardless, I mustered my courage and I began to work extremely hard in the weight room as well as doing sprints and trying to increase my speed and agility. I had no idea how I was going to get to the States, let alone play football and earn an athletic scholarship at a university lol.

Without really worrying about what I couldn’t control, I took action.

What that looked like is I would work out five times a week. I didn’t have the perfect plan. Truth be known, I really didn’t have a plan at all, I would just talk about my dream all the time and took action that would get me closer to becoming a better, fitter, more athletic football player.

Long story short, half way through my junior year I was able to return to the States and my senior year of high school, I was able to play at Drummond High School. I did pretty well, I played on an 8-man football team in a small town in Montana, (checkout a paper article from back in the day. I am the one that looks like an Prison Convict lol). My graduating class was about 24 kids.

And guess what? I was awarded an athletic scholarship to play at Montana State University-Northern after playing only one year of high school football. Still hard to believe. Later in my senior year of college, I become a first-team all-conference selection as a Left Tackle.

The point of this story isn’t to make me sound super awesome, cause, as you know that’s lie lol. The point of the story is to illustrate that your dreams can come true if you take action and have the courage to pursue them. Nothing will happen if you just sit and wait, you must take action so that you can acquire your dream. If your dream is to lose weight and get a better booty and tighter tummy I have a system that will greatly facilitate this process. Now go be awesome and pursue your dream with 100%.
