Does Fear Control Your Fitness Journey?

Why are you afraid?

First off, before we dive into the topic of fear. I would like to say that fear is a God given emotion. In certain situations, fear is a natural emotion. If my kids didn’t fear heights, there would be lots of broken bones, lol.

However, so often we let fear hold us back in a way it was not designed to do. I see this expressed in the, “Fear of failure” syndrome that holds many people back in regards to their fitness journey.

All to often, people know what they should do, eat right and exercise. A lot even take the next steps of creating a diet plan and maybe even creating a workout plan and schedule. But then that self doubt, expressed as fear starts to nimble at their hear. “You have tried this before. You’re not disciplined enough. This is a waste of time, you will never be skinny. Just accept it! You aren’t worth it. You don’t deserve to be thin.”

Don’t let that happen! Listen to Lady Wisdom!

Lady Wisdom is mentioned various times in the Bible. Lady Wisdom encourages her readers to listen to God’s word and then follow it…despite the fear they feel. Lady Wisdom often says, that to know what you are to do is of little value unless you do it! Much like diet and exercise, you can know everything, but if you never do it, you reap no benefits.

Do not let fear stop you from reaching your fitness goals.

  • Do not fear what others will say or think.
  • Do not fear the hard temptations you will be faced with.
  • Do not fear what to say when others ask you why you are “trying” again.

Simply follow Lady Wisdom’s advice and take action on your knowledge. Take on the responsibly! Follow these steps to help put your fitness fear to rest.

  1. What is your goal?
  2. What can you do to commit to your goal?
  3. Write your goal down and post it someplace you will see it daily.
  4. Post your goal on social media and ask for positive accountability.

The reason my clients are so successful, is because they have a plan, they have accountability, and they follow the plan.

Go be awesome!
