Do you cling to foods that are hurting your fitness goals?
Are you struggling with separation issues :-)? Are you clinging to foods that are hurting your fitness goals?
If so, you need to get rid of them. By far the easiest way to make sure you don’t eat something is to make it difficult to access.
Think about it, if you have a bowl of M&Ms sitting in front of you, you are going to eat more M&M’s then if you had to go buy them at store.
To illustrate this point, that sometimes it is wise to break up. I am going to tell about how Abram and Lot split ways. Lot was Abram’s nephew and he was the only family that traveled with Abram and moved to a foreign land.
Having moved and lived in several foreign lands (Brazil for 8 years and South Korea for 1 year) I can testify to the fact that having friends from your homeland is HUGE! However, as the story goes, both Lot and Abram were wealthy at this point and the ground and water could not support all their livestock. As a result, Lot and Abram’s workmen were getting into fights.
Obviously fighting is not a good, so Abram decided he and Lot needed to part ways. Which I believe must have been a terribly difficult decision, but Abram said, “If you go to the left, I will go to the right.” Lot looked at the land and choose the greener pasture, but that is a story for another day.
The point is, you, like Abram need to choose to cut out the bad stuff in your life. It might be a certain food, if so, don’t keep it in your house! Like I said, the easiest way not to fall into temptation is make it difficult to access. Maybe you need to stop going out to eat all the time because when you do, you order stuff that is not consistent with your fitness goals.
Making those kinds of choices is hard, but you can do it just like Abram!
Go be awesome!
