Confession…I ate Peanut Butter Pie and a Brownie…AND…I LOST WEIGHT!
So last night, my wife and went our Community Group Dinner. Every Tuesday there is a group of us from Winston-Salem who attend Mercy Hill Church and we hang out, talk about life, etc… If you would like to check it out just rely and let me know. I would love to bring you as my guest ;-).
Any way, last night we had our monthly dinner and at that dinner I ate peanut butter pie and half a brownie. I also had rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes, and a small roll. Guess what…I lost weight! In fact, it is the lightest I have been since I started this quest for 215 lbs. The day after the dinner I weighed in at 222.4, down from 237.5 the day of the Super Bowl.
Cool right!? But how was I able to do that?
This is how.
- I logged ALL my food in MyFitnessPal and made sure I had a spare 1000 calories (Currently eating 1800 a day) for dinner and dessert.
- I eat at least 160 grams of protein a day.
- And yes, I workout, I am a personal trainer and I love it. I focus on heavy compound movements and seek to get a little bit stronger every workout.
- I do this consistently, not just some days, but every day.
- I post the food I eat on Social Media. This alone helps a ton!
Truth be told, if I didn’t have to post that dessert on Facebook, the serving size would have been bigger lol. But I knew there would be eyes watching so I chose to eat less and be honest with myself.
At the time was it fun? NO! I wanted more! But waking up and stepping on the scale and seeing it move down was better ;-).
You too can do the same thing I am doing.
- Download myfitnesspal, be honest with the questions they ask when setting it up.
- Eat at least 100 grams of protein if you are female and 140 grams if you are a male.
- Workout and walk try to get 8000 to 10000 steps a day.
- Post everything you eat on Social Media
Now go be awesome!
