“It’s never too late to be who you might have been” – George Eliot

“It’s never too late to be who you might have been” – George Eliot

Let me start by asking you a question. Have you ever,  in your entire life, started something?

When I think of this question, I immediately think of my son Axel. Axel got Legos for Christmas. And he loves Legos :-). The only problem is Axel is 4 years old,  his fingers aren’t the most agile or nimble. But regardless of this Axel is always super excited about getting Legos and starting “The Big Build.”  Axel is always gun blazing at the beginning or at the start of his Lego Journey.

What about you?

Have you started something before?

I’m pretty sure everyone can answer yes to that question. Probably most of us can even answer yes to that question in regards to fitness. I am willing to bet everyone at one point or another has started a workout plan or a new diet in an effort to help themselves look fit and feel more energetic.

Just like Axel, you were excited and you felt like you had purpose and knew where you wanted to go.

But…

Some “piece” to the your “lego” set wouldn’t fit quite right.  The Lego piece just won’t go in perfectly like you want. You skip a meal, you cave and eat a donut or 5. You feel tired and drained so you don’t work out at the gym. Whatever the case may be, you stop moving forward. You get frustrated and wonder why you should keep going.

So my challenge to you, is did you fail or did you just not finish?

Did you fail or…did you just not finish?

My son Axel would have failed, except that he knew he needed help, he needed a guide who could help him read the plan. Yes, he got frustrated, yes he wanted to do it himself. And yes, he even throw lego pieces all around him and made a big mess. But…after he got over his frustration and being upset. He came to me and said, “Daddy, can you help Axel with the Legos?”  Yes, my son speaks in the third person…working on that : ).

And of course I help him. I help him stick to the plan and when things don’t fit just right I coach him through how to put the piece on properly. By doing so, Axel is able to follow the plan and finish his project. Which makes him super happy, and helps him feel very confident and accomplished.

You too can do the same thing like Axel. You can reach out and ask for help. Find someone who’s been where you are at and they can coach and guide you to where you want to be. Because just like George Eliot said, “It’s never too late to be who you might have been.”  You only fail if you stop. The secret is to not stop the journey. To make this journey quicker, more efficient, and safe you need an experienced expert who can create a plan Just For You.

I help out of shape people go from looking like Java The Hut and feeling like Eeyore to looking fit like Laya and feeling fabulous like Tigger : ).

This time will be different. You can do this. You deserve this!

Go be awesome!
