IS IT WORTH IT?
What reward/goal/result are you willing to work/suffer for?
For what prize, for what reward are you willing to do something out of the ordinary? For what results are you willing to put yourself through discomfort, pain, and let’s be real …a little suffering to get what you desire?
Surprise…You most likely already do this on a daily basis.
Think about your career path. I am willing to bet you had to made some sacrifices and now it is worth it! The direction you want to lead your family. Same thing, I assume you had to give up some “good things” for a better end result. To make these difficult decisions you almost certainly had to sacrifice certain freedoms.
Was it worth it? I hope so…
But the question becomes. What freedoms are worth sacrifice?
The best way to make that decision is by reverse engineering, working backwards, from your goal.
What is the goal? Let’s assume your goal is to lose weight.
Will eating until you are stuffed get you closer to your goal? No, it will not. Are you free to do so? Yes, but it will keep you losing weight.
Will snacking get you closer to your goal? No, not likely. Are you free to do so? Yes, but it will only stop you from being fit and fabulous!
Now here is the kicker. You are “Free” to do those things, but they won’t get you closer to you where you want to be. In short, if losing weight is your goal you will need to sacrifice some freedoms.
If you only stopped doing X, you would lose 4 – 5 pounds. What is your X?
Identity your X and come up with a way to lovenly “sacrifice” this freedom.
Now go be awesome!
KELLEN LAKE – To get to where you want to go, you will need to sacrifice some freedoms.
PS – It is worth it! Do it for yourself! Do it for your kids! Do it for your grand babies!
