Burn Some Extra Calories Doing What You Do…Just Add…

Stair Climbing Challenge!

Which person are you? Are you the person who takes the stairs everyday at your office or place of work or even in your home? Or are you the kind of person who diligently waits 5 minutes for the elevator to show up?

Hey I get it, we all take the elevator from time to time.  

It could be because you had a fantastic leg workout :-), or you have too many groceries to even think about packing them all up and down some stairs, or work just was really the pits and the last thing you want to do is climb some stairs.

Regardless, here’s this weeks challenge.

The challenge is to take the stairs this week whenever it’s an option, no matter what. Regardless of what you have to get up there or on what floor you’re going to, you must take the stairs. It’ll be a epic, I promise :-).

Here’s a list of benefits and reasons why you should take the stairs.

  • You will be saving energy and electricity. (That’s a pretty weak reason LOL, however my wife doesn’t think so).
  • By taking the stairs your body will produce endorphins which will make you feel better.
  • You’ll boost your cardiovascular system because your blood will be flowing better.
  • As I mentioned in a previous article it burns 10 calories per minute (that is more than jogging)!
  • Depending on where you live, it can save you time up to 15 minutes of waiting everyday.
