5 Miles of “Blessings” :-)

Welcome to the Holiday SEASON!

I’m sure you’re crazy busy just like me. We’re in the middle of the holiday season, its go time. Christmas is right around the corner and the kids are going nuts.

My kids are 4 and 2 years old and to say that they have discovered Christmas is an understatement. They love lights. They are borderline obsessed with lights. Last night my mother-in-law, who’s awesome for taking the kids (BIG SHOUT OUT!), drove them around in her convertible and they got to see all the lights hanging from the houses. My kids loved it!

Anyway, It’s so easy to get overwhelmed and start being consumed by all this busyness and with everything that we need to do and get done. So, I’m going to keep this short and to the point.

This Monday’s challenge is to log some miles. All I want you to do this outside…if you can’t stand that idea feel free to stay inside, I guess I don’t care. I just want you to log 5 miles this week.

Your challenge is to walk, jog, run, hop, crawl, row, swim, whatever for 5 miles.

The point is you need to travel an extra 5 miles, and, “No,” not by a vehicle that not powered by you. There can be no outside assistance :-). You must propel yourself. And before someone asks…these 5 miles are in addition to any workouts that you get blessed with by Yours Truly :-). Sorry, not sorry.

So here’s the thing, you can walk a mile over 5 days. You can run 5 miles straight. Essentially, you can break this up anyway you like. But I’m challenging you to travel an extra 5 miles via self propulsion.

Ideally, I’d love for you to do this outside so that you can kind of get the blood flowing and get some fresh air. We talked about that when it gets colder, we have a tendency to stay inside and stay out of direct sunlight, which can lead to adrenal fatigue, affects our cortisol levels, and disrupts our sleep cycle...basically, none of that is ideal. However, if it’s too cold, I get it, do it inside.

This could also be a great opportunity for you and your family to spend some quality time together. I’m sure that walking around with your family will be much more beneficial than watching Netflix. Just saying.

So are you up to the challenge?

I hope you are and I encourage you to take me up on it.

Now go be awesome!

If you accept my challenge and let me know. Take a selfie and tag me in it, to prove that you’re following my guidance.

KELLEN LAKE – I will row my 5 miles, I love rowing :-)..and yes, I will move my rower outside.

PS – If you are curious to find out what it is like to train with me I strongly encourage you to check out my December Promotion click the link: https://winstonsalem.justyoufitness.com/offer.html
