3 Steps To Reduce Stress AND Drop The Muffin Top

Stress Slowing You Down?

It Is Keeping Beth Down

So, back in the day when Axel was an infant he scratched Beth’s eye…ouch! Axel had tiny little hands and even tinier fingernails and they scraped her eye.

As you might imagine it hurt a lot. What makes matters worse is that ever since this happened about 2 to 3 times a year her eye flairs back up and is extremely uncomfortable.

Apparently…as I am told this is a result of not drinking enough water and stress.

I don’t know if I believe this “diagnosis,” but whatever, she is the General, the point is…

STRESS IS STRAIGHT UP TERRIBLE FOR YOU AND YOUR MIDLINE!

Here Are 3 Steps You Can Use To Reduce Stress AND…Drop The Muffin Top

How you deal with stress is extremely important and it correlates to fat loss. If your stress levels are low, you will sleep better, if you sleep better, your hormones will be within a normal range, and you will have more energy and burn more fat. Needless to say, how you deal with stress is huge. The goal is for you to learn how to deal with stress which will regulate your hormones and ultimately help you lose the jiggle in your middle and if you are my wife, hopefully it make your eye feel better.

Step #1: Start A Stress Journal. To properly deal with stress you need to identify the sources of stress in your life and the best tool to help you accomplish this is a Stress Journal. A stress journal can help you identify the regular stressors in your life and the way you deal with them. Each time you feel stressed, keep track of it in your journal. As you keep a daily log, you will begin to see patterns and common themes.

Write Down The Answers To These Questions In Your Stress Journal:

  1. What caused your stress (make a guess if you’re unsure)
  2. How you felt, both physically and emotionally
  3. How you acted in response
  4. What you did to make yourself feel better

Step #2: Show Up To Your Training Sessions. Exercise is a huge stress killer. When you’re stressed, the last thing you probably feel like doing is getting out and exercising. But physical activity is a huge stress reliever—and you don’t have to be an athlete or spend hours in a gym to experience the benefits. Exercise releases endorphins that make you feel good, and it can also serve as a valuable distraction from your daily worries.

Step #3: Connect With Others. There is nothing more calming than spending quality time with another human being who makes you feel safe and understood Remember, there is nothing more calming than spending quality time with another human being who makes you feel safe and understood. So make it a point to connect regularly—and in person—with family and friends (like at your training sessions : ).

Keep in mind that the people you talk to don’t have to be able to fix your stress. They simply need to be good listeners. Remember this when it is your turn to listen.

Of course, it’s not always realistic to have a pal close by to lean on when you feel overwhelmed by stress, but by building and maintaining a network of close friends you can improve your resilience to life’s stressors.

Now go be AWESOME!
